The process of wet felting allows for different kinds of fibers (such as sari silk waste, ribbon, mohair yarn, soybean fiber, bamboo and mulberry silk) to intermingle with wool, being trapped forever just like memories in the ocean.
Wool likes to breathe, so this piece is firmly affixed to a solid wooden custom built frame, crafted by her husband, Cliff, a master carpenter.
